The current format of security conferences is generally based on marketing and business pre-sales' presentations of individual supply companies. How can it be possible to find out about the actual users' benefits?

At our conference, "Security", there is no place for marketing or business pre-sales presentations. The main goal of our event is to have a professional level of individual lectures and maximum benefit for the participants. We strongly emphasize the practical use of the lectures. The program is based on case studies presented directly by the customer.  We are not afraid of even showing failed projects to highlight risks and to learn from the mistakes that were made.

Since the scale of the presented topics is wide-ranging, the conference takes place in parallel in several auditoriums and there are at least 30 security specialists giving lectures. We also manage to get foreign lecturers on a regular basis who are the most prominent experts in the field of ICT security.

The conference is set up for professionals in the field of information technology and management. "Security" is an annual event where IT managers and IT specialists from various sectors (public administration, commercial companies, telecommunications, production factories, and more) have the opportunity to meet. In the Czech Republic, you would be hard-pressed to find a conference devoted to ICT security with such a long tradition and nature that only "Security" can be proud of.

Since 1992, enemies of computer viruses and data security enthusiasts had been meeting at a conference called "Virus". With the computer virus boom in the Nineties, interest in conferences focusing on computers' protection against these attacks started to grow. "Virus" became a regular meeting place for the "fighters on the front line" and ”sharp-end” antivirus protection professionals.

In the following years, the program of the conference began adding additional security topics, such as the new phenomenon called "the Internet", building computer networks and related threats, and hacking. With information technology development, the need for the protection of data and information in electronic form started to grow. For this reason, since 2000, the conference "Virus" changed its name to "Security", which is much more appropriate.

Since 2010, the conference has been divided into Manager and Technical sections. The lectures take place in individual auditoriums in complete sychronicity.
Participants have the chance to select specific presentations that correspond with their interests.

In recent years, one of a number of additional programs is represented by the testing lab, where participants can try hackers' techniques themselves and test their knowledge in the form of a contest.

Holders of the CGEIT, CISA, CISM a CRISC certifications can add CPE hours for participation.
